Description

ACCESS1.3 version of the UM 7.3 changed from N96 to N48 resolution with a slab ocean included in the UM-code. This is designed to do long (many years) global climate simulations. It is the basis for coupled simulations with simplified ocean components.

ACCESS1.3 version of the UM 7.3 changed from N96 to N48 resolution with a slab ocean included in the UM-code.

Use Cases

This is designed to do long (many years) global climate simulations. In open ocean points it simulated SST variability with a slab ocean with a 50m depth. A mask can be used to hold the SST at desired regions at prescribed values.
