Description

ACCESS1.3 version of the UM 7.3 with a slab ocean included in the UM-code. This is designed to do long (many years) global climate simulations. It is the basis for SST sensitivity studies.

History

ACCESS1.3 version of the UM 7.3 changed with a slab ocean included in the UM-code.

Use Cases

This is designed to do long (many years) global climate simulations. In open ocean points it simulated SST variability with a slab ocean with a 50m depth. A mask can be used to hold the SST at desired regions at prescribed values.

Modules of the Experiment

Atmosphere UM7.3
Land Surface CABLE
Ocean Slab Ocean with mask for prescribing SST at desired locations
Sea Ice Prescribed

Performance

On NCI-RAIJIN it computes about (slightly more than) 1yr per 1hr CPU time with 48 processors.
